I’m Mel, the creative chaos coordinator (and coffee enthusiast) behind the studio. Around here, we believe creativity isn’t reserved for the “talented” few — it’s for everyone. All ages, all abilities, all the beautiful humans who’ve ever said, “I can’t draw.” (Spoiler: you can, and you will.)

At Creative Makes, we’re all about the process, not the product. It’s the splatters, smudges, and happy accidents that make art magical. Whether you’re two, twenty-two, or sixty-two, there’s something freeing about making without worrying how it turns out.

What We’re About

In a world that often prizes perfect results, we’re reclaiming creativity as something messy, joyful, and deeply human.
Our classes and workshops are designed for all ages and abilities, including children, teens, and adults — and yes, that means people with disabilities are always welcome.

We run:

Little Explorers – art and sensory play for toddlers and parents

Creative Explorers – process-based art for primary schoolers

Studio Explorers – choice-based art for teens and adults. clay, mixed media, and craft-based sessions where grown-ups finally get to play again

Plus, we host parties, events, School holiday activities and creative workshops for anyone who loves getting hands-on (or covered in paint).
