Our Sensory Play sessions invite your little one to dive into the wonder of creative discovery. Designed for children aged 18 months–4 and their caregivers, these 45 minute sessions focus on early sensory experiences, connection, and exploration. Together, you’ll squish, splash, and create as your child builds comfort with new textures and materials, develops confidence in a welcoming environment, and discovers the simple joy of creative play.
Kinder Play
For Children Aged 3-5 years
Our Kinder Play sessions are all about growing independence and imagination through hands-on, play-based art. Designed for children aged 3–5, these shorter classes allow little makers to move freely between creative stations, experimenting with tools and materials at their own pace. Parents are welcome to join in or step back as children gain confidence using scissors, glue, paintbrushes, and textures.
Growing Through Creativity
At Creative Makes, our classes for children aged 18 months to 5 years are as much for parents as they are for little ones. These early creative experiences are a chance to slow down, connect, and share meaningful moments together, free from pressure, mess, or expectations. Through sensory-rich, play-based art, children build confidence, curiosity, and early developmental skills, while parents get to witness their child’s wonder and growth in real time.
But just as importantly, these classes offer something parents often crave, community. A space to meet other families in the same stage, to laugh about the chaos, celebrate milestones, and know you’re not doing it alone.

Excursions & Special Events
At Creative Makes, we love mixing up our regular studio sessions with exciting excursions and special events that spark imagination and create unforgettable memories!
For our younger explorers, this might mean a Teddy Bears’ Picnic, a trip to the beach, or other hands-on adventures that get them moving, discovering, and having fun outdoors.
Our special events bring extra magic to the studio, think pyjama days, creative movie nights, or themed celebrations where kids can dress up, play, and immerse themselves in a unique experience.
Every excursion and event is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection – all in a safe, supportive, and playful environment where every child feels included.
Why Creativity and Sensory Play Matter (and Why You’ll Love It Too!)
Little hands, big imaginations! From ages 2 to 5, children are like tiny scientists, artists, and explorers all rolled into one. Sensory and creative play isn’t just fun, it’s how their brains grow, their confidence blossoms, and their curiosity soars.
For the Kids:
Fine Motor Superpowers: Scooping, pouring, painting, and squishing all build the tiny muscles in their hands they’ll need for writing, buttoning clothes, and even launching the occasional rocket from the lounge room.
Creative Confidence: When children experiment with colours, textures, and materials without a “right or wrong,” they learn to trust their own ideas.
Problem Solving & Curiosity: Figuring out how to mix the perfect shade of purple or build a sculpture that won’t topple helps them think critically and creatively.

Social Skills: Sharing, collaborating, and even negotiating who gets the glitter (we know it’s magical) helps little ones practice empathy and communication.
For the Parents:

Mess? Not Your Problem: We’ll handle the setup, the clean-up, and the rogue glitter, you just show up and soak up the fun.
